Mao Weize, born in the Tang Dynasty in Hebei Province, graduated from Guangdong TV University and studied Chinese language. Participated in the teacher training course of the Chinese Calligraphy Association, and twice participated in the senior training course of the Civil Construction and Arts Special Committee and the Management Institute of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

毛卫泽，字頔东,河北行唐人，毕业省电大,进修汉语言。参加中书协教师培训班，曾两次参加民建艺专委、文旅部管理干院高级研修班。

自幼习书法，近数十年来静心听讲座，埋头读临帖。法出碑帖，修炼书法，深师碑帖。铁线篆，线条细腻，刚柔并济，强调笔墨的书写趣味，使转自如，飞仪多姿，富有泰山碑典雅和峄山碑的圆活。隶书取法多元，既有东汉隶的雅质秀拔，也有西汉隶的拙朴浑然，左掠右挑，丰富多神。行书笔法取兰亭序、伯远帖、中秋帖等等。经过心追手临，得法乎上，所以执笔写洒脱，同自然之妙有，非力运转所能成。执笔于手，纵笔于心，心与笔合，主笔写得力透纸背，副笔写得玲珑无限，主笔副笔相映，可见虚与实相生，独特的书法空间，结构形式，自立面目，今后在传统的根基上再有创新的焕神。

现为北京墨染风华文化交流中心荣誉主席，国际龙文化交流中心副主席，中国民族建筑研究委员会书画艺术专业委员会客座教授，中国硬笔书法协会会员，中国书画创作委员会委员，水墨丹青书画院会员，长沙尚韵书画院名誉院长，长沙国韵书画院理事，北京国都墨韵书画院会员，中国老年书画研究会会员,中新文化艺术促进会会员，中国书画家联谊会新文艺群体书画家工作委员会会员，中国楹联协会中宣盛世文艺术交流中心会员，水墨丹青书画院会员，醴陵手绘工艺大师，中书协注册书法教师。

近几年，在人民美术出版社，中国文史出版社，民族艺术，中国文化出版社等多个单位出版合辑和个人专辑。2012年起，曾获特等奖5个，金奖75个，一等奖32个，二等奖和银奖10个，铜牌15个，49幅作品收藏入编等。
