Yang Haijian, a Mongolian named Gujianshan, was born in Chongqing in May 1947 and is the founder of Chinese karst cave landscape painting. Tsinghua University is employed as a guest professor of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University. After comprehensive review of Harvard University in the United States, he was specially hired as the doctoral supervisor of Harvard Art School. The paper "I and Karst Cave Landscape Painting" in the Collection of Chinese Art Essays published by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles Press in 2000 was the first to name the Chinese painting of Karst Cave Landscape Painting in the history of art, which is unprecedented.

In 2018, the Expert Committee of the Academic Committee of the Chinese and Foreign Celebrities Cultural Research Association was awarded the honorary title of "Chinese Artist", and the 18th China Century Grand Collection Annual People Summary and Commendation Conference and CCTV TV Character Awards: Yang Haijian was awarded the top ten figures in contemporary Chinese calligraphy and painting. 杨海剑,号古剑山人,蒙古族,一九四七年五月生于重庆市,中国溶洞山水画创始人。清华大学聘为清华大学美术学院客坐教授。经美国哈佛大学综合审核特聘担任哈佛艺术学院博士生导师。2000 年中国文联出版社出版的《中国美术论文集》其中“我与溶洞山水画”的论文,在美术史上首先提出对溶洞景观的中国画命名 -- 溶洞山水画,这是空前。

2018 年中国中外名人文化研究会学术委员会专家委员会评为“中国艺术大师”荣誉称号,中央电视台第十八届中国世纪大采风年度人物总结表彰大会暨 CCTV 电视人物颁奖 :杨海剑获中国当代书画十大风云人物。溶洞山水画艺术传承研究,课题负责人杨海剑。

2021 年中国艺术家杨海剑在如下海外媒体展播、阿联酋新闻、美国新科技、英国卫报、纽约每日新闻、洛杉矶时报、美国时代周刊、被此刊物推荐为《全球艺术人物形象大使》并颁发证书、并授予新时代艺术巨匠荣誉称号 .2022年入选福布斯中国(艺术福布斯)十大名人。2023年获得中国文学艺术界联合会颁发的《徐悲鸿终生成就奖》。
