  Quan Xijun, born in August 1926 in Yantai, Shandong Province, is a senior consultant of the Chinese Calligrapher Association. In his early years, he worked in the central party affairs department for a long time. He once served as the director of the Party Committee Office of the central organization department. Later, as a bureau level researcher, he participated in the preparation and publication of the outline of the organizational history of the Communist Party of China and the chronicle of the organizational work of the Communist Party of China.

I have loved calligraphy since childhood, and I have covered a wide range of subjects, including calligraphy, seal cutting, lettering and painting. In the 1980s, he entered the world of calligraphy. His calligraphy works were often invited to participate in calligraphy exhibitions at home and abroad. He led calligraphy delegations to visit Japan, South Korea, Russia, France and other Western European countries for many times to display his calligraphy works. He has published the thousand character cursive script of Quan Xijun, preface to Tengwang Pavilion of Quan Xijun's cursive script, selected works of art of Quan Xijun, calligraphy art album of Quan Xijun and calligraphy collection of Quan Xijun. He has edited a series of lettering textbooks, and CCTV has twice introduced his calligraphy art. In 2001, the running cursive works included the modern and contemporary part of the calligraphy creation canon, which was edited by Zhang Youdong with Qigong and Shen Peng as consultants. In 2003, the Chinese Calligrapher's Association awarded the special contribution award, and in the same year, the Chinese Calligrapher's Association awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for modern lettering. In 2004, Yantai City, Shandong Province and Dalian City, Liaoning Province established the Quan Xijun Art Museum for him. In 2013, the Chinese Calligraphers Association organized the "Quan Xijun calligraphy art seminar" for him with the title of "exploration and pursuit". His calligraphy and personality were highly praised.

Mr. Quan Xijun participated in the revolution in his early years. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, he worked in the central authorities. After his work, he studied calligraphy, seal cutting, etc. in his later years, he also studied the art of lettering. Later, he embarked on a professional road, and he has a wide range of artistic pursuits. He has deep attainments in calligraphy, seal cutting, lettering, painting and other art fields. His calligraphy is famous for cursive calligraphy, and he also writes a variety of calligraphy styles. It has become an integrated body in today's calligraphy world and is unique. He often participated in calligraphy exhibitions at home and abroad, led calligraphy and painting delegations to visit Japan, South Korea, Russia, France and other countries and regions, and exhibited calligraphy works. His works are collected by Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, China Art Museum, military museum and some overseas countries and regions. It has published the preface to the Tengwang Pavilion of Quan Xijun cursive script, the thousand character script of Quan Xijun cursive script, and a series of teaching materials on lettering art. Quan Xijun is not only famous for his calligraphy, but also proficient in seal cutting and painting (painting is good at leader portraits and oil paintings), especially in the field of modern lettering art. He is known as the founder of modern lettering art in China. The old Mr. Xi Jun, who is devoted to the right of art, has always insisted on moving forward. Faced with the blank of Chinese lettering art, he was appointed as the president of the Chinese lettering Research Association at the critical moment. Without professional books and teachers, he was over half a century old at that time. With his love for art, he resolutely "started the exploration and creation of modern lettering with a knife and hammer.

权希军，1926年8月生，山东烟台人，大专文化，中国书法家协会老顾问。他早年参加工作，长期在中央党务部门任职，曾担任中央组织部党委办公室主任，后以局级调研员身份参加编写出版《中国共产党组织史纲要》、《中国共产党组织工作大事记》。

自幼喜爱书法，涉猎较广，书法、篆刻、刻字、绘画，主项为书法。上世纪八十年代步入书坛，书法作品经常应邀参加国内外书法大展，多次率书法代表团访问日本、韩国、俄罗斯和法国等西欧国家，展出书法作品。出版有《权希军草书千字文》、《权希军行草滕王阁序》、《权希军艺术作品选》、《权希军书法艺术专辑》、《权希军书法集》，主编有系列刻字教材，中央电视台两次专题介绍其书法艺术。2001年行草作品收录由启功、沈鹏任顾问，张又栋主编的《书法创作大典》近现代篇。2003年中国书法家协会授予特别贡献奖，同年中国书协刻字研究会授予现代刻字终身成就奖。2004年山东烟台市和辽宁大连市分别为他建立了权希军艺术馆。2013年中国书法家协会以《探索与追求》为题，为他组织了“权希军书法艺术研讨会”其书品和人品得到高度评价。

权希军先生早年参加过了革命，建国后到中央机关工作，工作之余研习书法、篆刻等晚年又研习刻字艺术，后来走上了专业道路，艺术上涉猎广泛，在书法、篆刻、刻字、绘画等艺术领域均有很深造诣,，其书法以草书著称，兼写多种书体，在当今书坛自成一体，独树一帜。经常参加国内外书法大展，多次率书画代表团访问日本、韩国、俄罗斯和法国等国家和地区，展出书法作品。其作品被毛主席纪念堂、中国美术馆、军事博物馆及海外一些国家和地区收藏。出版有《权希军行草滕王阁序》，《权希军草书千字文》、刻字艺术系列教材。权希军不但书法称绝，还精通篆刻、绘画（绘画以领袖像、油画见长）尤其在现代刻字艺术领域颇有成就，被称为我国现代刻字艺术的奠基人。对艺术权希军老先生一直都执著向前。面对我国刻字艺术空白，他临危受命担当起中国刻字研究会会长，在没有专业书籍，没有老师的情况下，当时已年过半百的他凭着对艺术的热爱，毅然“挥起刀锤，老眼昏花的开始了现代刻字的探索和创作”。
